mrs robin is looking a bit dishevelled at the minute, not surprising after 3 broods, ( she must be worn out ) she wasn't the resident robin in our garden but she has become very friendly over the breeding season, i leave the garage door open and she helps herself to the mealworms that i leave on the worktop, yesterday whilst i was on the computer she flew into the house, and had to go through several doorways before she found me, she then sat on the printer until i got up and got her some mealworms, all of her broods have been in our garden but as of yet we haven't seen one baby robin.

She is looking dishevelled, Denis but still very sweet. How amazing that she went looking for you in the house, I think that is lovely :) I wonder if she encountered any of the dogs on the way, goodness knows what they must have thought! Lovely photos too :)
Lovely pics and a wonderful story Denis!!! How amazing that she looks for you for food!! Im jealous!! I havent seen my robin for ages, nor have i seen any babies, i am worried that the dam cat might have had them, hope im wrong xxxxx Hope youre well xxx
hi jan,yes she must have ran the gauntlet to get to me, the dogs saw her but didnn't bark (i think they were in shock),i have started breeding mealworms in the garage, so she just flies in and helps herself, it's funny but the male wont go in, and he was the resident robin, i think there might be a bit of a squabble come the end of the breeding season.
hi karen, we were in the garden yesterday, and noticed mrs robin going into the ivy with a beakful of mealworms, (she doesn't half get through them) i waited until the coast was clear then went to have a peek, i could see 2 young ones, they looked just about ready to leave the nest, going to be on the alert over the next few days to see if i can get one or two photos of them.
